Camponotus species.

£50.00 (Sold out)

Common name: 'The Sugar Ant.'
This queen was captured in June and originaly mistaken for C. festinus. On closer observation and on emergance of her first workers it has become obvious that she is a different species.
The first workers are about 5mm in size and we expect the more mature workers to be a few mm larger. Interestingly in this species all the pupae are naked and not enclosed in a coccon like most Camponotus.
We have just one young colony available which has twenty workers and a small brood.
